Final Drift

My drift strategy was to take pictures of words or letters and video of things blowing in the wind. After looking at all the pictures I took I put them in groups. I grouped them by color and relations to one another. I then took two signs in the groups to have it say something before cutting to peaceful nature. I wanted the sounds to sound mechanical as if the signs were being hammered in. I wanted the sign noises to be almost annoying to emphasize the soothing sounds of the chimes over the leafs. I also didn't want to use too many effects with sound or video so it was more straight forward and more up for interpretation. I am pretty pleased with my result. When I started I did not think I would be able to create anything coherent out of what I had. It has been a fun experience and I hope you enjoy my video. (Click Image to Play)

Sound Rough Cut 1

For the sound during the signs I am currently trying to make a beat out of selected audio bits from my walk. I haven't finalized that so I didn't think it would be worth putting it in. Click image to play.

Filming Strategy

My filming strategy was to film things that were blowing in the wind. I tried getting various colored tree leafs as well as anything else that is effected by the wind (short grass, dandelions, flags etc). I also took pictures of any words or letters, mostly coming from street signs.
